About Etienne
I’m Etienne Bryant.
For many years, I worked as a hospice chaplain, accompanying people and families through some of life’s most profound transitions.
That work taught me to listen closely to the questions that arise when certainty falls away.
My path has also been shaped by years of study in spirituality, philosophy, mysticism, meditation, and the psychology of the inner life.
AnimaOfSpirit grew from those experiences. It is a place for exploring consciousness, spiritual practice, ancient wisdom, and the questions that continue to shape our inner lives.
I don’t offer a single system of belief. I offer a space for inquiry, reflection, and practice, where you can explore these questions for yourself.
My Approach
My approach begins with a simple principle: spiritual life is something we explore through experience, reflection, and practice.
I draw from contemplative Christianity, Kabbalah, Neoplatonism, Buddhism, the wisdom of the Vedas, Jungian and depth psychology, meditation, and other philosophical and wisdom traditions. These traditions offer different ways of exploring consciousness, meaning, and the inner life without requiring us to reduce them to a single system of belief.
The aim is not to tell you what to believe, but to offer ways for examining experience with curiosity, discernment, and care.
You are encouraged to question, test, reflect, and discover what proves meaningful through study, practice, and your own experience.
A Life of Inquiry
My own path has never followed a straight line. It has unfolded through study, spiritual practice, ministry, meditation, and years of listening to the experiences of others.
Along the way, I have learned that questions can be as valuable as answers. Inquiry keeps spiritual life alive, while experience gives us a place to test what we discover.
AnimaOfSpirit reflects that journey. It is an invitation to remain curious, to explore deeply, and to allow understanding to develop through both study and direct experience.
